Combi Lift is proud to share the successful execution of a major transport operation for a high-profile EPC project in Arzew, Algeria. The project was carried out jointly by Combi Lift India and Combi Lift Bremen, with crucial engineering support from SAL Engineering.
The scope involved the multimodal transport of critical components, including heat exchangers from India and Debutanisers and De-Ethanisers from Oman. In total, 17 cargo units were shipped from Mumbai to Arzew, weighing 617.722 metric tons and covering 1,012.247 cubic meters. The heaviest unit tipped the scale at 216 metric tons, while the longest measured 25.7 meters.
From Oman, an additional 16 cargo packages were transported, with a combined volume of 3,646.64 cubic meters. The largest piece weighed 196.280 metric tons and stretched an impressive 43.85 meters.
Challenging conditions required expert logistics planning: in Oman, heavy rains had damaged primary transport routes, necessitating extensive civil works and alternative access. Due to insurance restrictions related to the Red Sea, the cargo was rerouted around the Cape of Good Hope — a detour that added distance, time, and exposure to rough sea conditions, demanding high-precision handling on deck.
This successful delivery once again demonstrates Combi Lift’s strength in complex, multinational logistics projects involving oversized and heavy-lift cargo. Since its launch in 2023, Combi Lift India has rapidly established itself as a key player in the integrated project logistics space, supporting major clients in heavy lift manufacturing and global EPC operations.
We extend our sincere thanks to all partners, stakeholders, and colleagues who contributed to the success of this remarkable project.
