Combi Lift is proud to announce the successful execution of a major multimodal logistics project: the delivery of a complete chemical plant from Chennai Port, India, to Proctor, West Virginia, USA.

The project, split into Lot 1 and Lot 2, included the transportation of large and heavy cargo units such as modules, stick-built structures, and process equipment – all manufactured in India. The heaviest piece weighed 80 metric tons, and the largest unit stretched 24 meters in length and 6 meters in height.

Cargo was shipped from Chennai Port to New Orleans Port and then transferred onto hopper and rake barges for inland waterway transport to Proctor Jetty. Despite facing extreme weather conditions – including delays caused by Hurricane Francine in the New Orleans area – the project team, in close collaboration with trusted partners, ensured the safe and timely delivery of all components.

This successful operation highlights Combi Lift’s expertise in planning and executing complex global logistics projects. Our ability to manage oversized, heavy cargo across continents underlines our role as a trusted partner in integrated logistics solutions.

We thank everyone involved in making this ambitious project a success and look forward to continuing to deliver excellence around the globe.
