Mission accomplished: The final section of the Golden Ray car carrier has been successfully removed, marking the official completion of the largest wreck removal operation in U.S. history.
Combi Lift supported the project from day one, providing comprehensive structural strength verifications for the cutting, lifting, and transport of the capsized vessel’s sections. Our team of engineers also ensured the design of the lifting lugs, adapted to the hook configuration of the VB-10,000, and oversaw the vessel’s secure anchoring throughout the dismantling process.
This technically demanding salvage operation required precise planning, coordination, and deep engineering expertise – and we are proud to have contributed to its successful conclusion.
