As part of the ongoing growth of our fleet, we are taking a major step forward by introducing a distinctive new class of vessels – the D-Types!
We will assume full ownership of five out of the six D-Type vessels. The sixth ship, MV Industrial Diamond, will be operated under a long-term charter agreement.
What makes the D-Type vessels so remarkable?
They are compact, highly versatile, and exceptionally powerful. Measuring 120 m in length and equipped with two 250 t cranes (combinable for lifts of up to 500 t!), they are true “mini monsters” in the world of MPP and heavy-lift shipping. Their specialised design enables them to handle particularly heavy, oversized, and sensitive project cargo – especially in ports with limited draught or insufficient infrastructure.
Following more than two years of intensive project work, we are thrilled to be expanding our fleet in this way. Our teams have done an outstanding job. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this project possible – from the first idea to full realisation!
All six vessels will be commissioned between July and October 2025.
