As a Business Development Manager you will be at the forefront of developing our commercial presence in the region.
In this role, you will identify new business opportunities, manage key client relationships, and help position our services in a competitive project cargo market. Working closely with our global team, you will play a vital part in expanding our footprint in South America while ensuring high-quality service for our clients.
Your responsibilities:
- Identify and actively pursue new business opportunities
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with existing clients
- Professionally present and effectively promote the company’s services
- Prepare tailored proposals and quotations to meet specific customer needs
- Provide regular market feedback and reporting to the Trade Manager
- Coordinate closely with the Operations and Chartering Manager to ensure high-quality service delivery
Your profile:
- Proven experience in sales, ideally within the shipping agency, logistics, or freight forwarding sectors
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong ability to build and maintain customer relationships
- Self-motivated with excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Fluency in English (additional languages are an advantage)
- Strong commercial mindset with experience in industrial/project cargo
- Proactive, solution-oriented, and ready to take on the challenge of growing with a fast-evolving company
- A team player who thrives in collaborative environments
