As Legal Counsel at Harren Group, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our international shipping, transport, and logistics operations. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will draft and review a broad range of contracts while ensuring compliance with applicable legal and regulatory frameworks. Your responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, including but not limited to:
- Marine contracts (e.g. time charter parties, voyage charter parties, contracts of affreightment)
- Freight forwarding and project logistic agreements
- Service, supply and procurement contracts
- Cooperation agreements with international stakeholders
- Provide legal guidance on procurement, trademark, and IT law topics
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations across all business activities
- Represent the Harren Group’s legal interests in negotiations with clients, suppliers, and partners
- Support in legal dispute resolution, including coordination with external lawyers
- Oversee contract management and documentation processes
Your profile:
- Fully qualified German lawyer (“Volljurist”) preferred
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in a law firm or in-house legal team, ideally in the maritime or logistics industry
- Solid knowledge of international maritime and commercial law; experience with BIMCO contracts is a plus
- Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
- Fluent in both German and English, written and spoken
- Self-driven, structured, and detail-oriented working style – even under pressure
- Team player with a flexible and motivated mindset
