Your main responsibilities:

  • Voyage Planning and Vessel Scheduling 
    Plan and schedule voyages in coordination with the Operations Supervisor and Voyage Manager. Provide daily updates on vessel positions and ensure smooth delivery and redelivery of vessels.
  • Cargo Operations
    Manage cargo operations, including coordination with Port Captains and vendors. Evaluate and select agents, vendors, and service providers to ensure cost-effective and efficient operations.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control
    Review and approve disbursement accounts, invoices, and ensure accurate cost tracking and savings opportunities.
  • Coordination and Communication
    Maintain regular communication with Port Captains, agents, and other relevant personnel to ensure timely and efficient cargo handling and vessel operations. Provide key updates to internal teams and ensure proper documentation.
  • Vessel Attendance
    Attend vessels regularly to oversee operations, communicate with Masters and crew, and ensure high-quality performance from all involved service providers.

 

Your profile:

  • You have completed an education in commercial sea transportation and have professional experience, ideally in the heavy-lift or breakbulk industry
  • In-depth knowledge of voyage planning and vessel scheduling
  • Good knowledge of Charter Party (C/P) terms and conditions and their execution
  • Experience in managing cargo operations, including loading, stowage, and securing
  • Vendor and agent management skills, ensuring efficient services and cost-effectiveness
  • You are a proactive, open-minded, and enthusiastic individual with a commitment to excellence
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to thrive in a multicultural environment
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
  • High degree of personal integrity and responsibility, with a service-oriented approach
  • Fluent in both verbal and written English
