Your main responsibilities:

  • Plan and schedule voyages in consultation with the Operations Supervisor / Line Manager
  • Maintain and update daily Vessel Position Report for each vessel
  • Attend daily Operations meetings and provide concise summaries of vessel status
  • Schedule delivery and redelivery of vessels on short-term charters
  • Appoint Agents based on service, cost, and historical experience
  • Review and approve Disbursement Accounts to achieve cost savings
  • Coordinate cargo loading operations with the Port Captain and Line Manager
  • Select vendors for bunkers, agency, support services, and stevedoring
  • Interact with sales team to develop cargo transportation solutions
  • Prevent cargo claims and vessel damage claims
  • Review and approve crew payments and masters representation
  • Correspond with accounts department for vendor payments
  • Maintain voyage correspondence and documentation
  • Communicate with Port Captains and other personnel to ensure smooth operations
  • Attend vessels regularly and discuss operational topics with the master
  • Implement ISO procedures in operational matters
  • Comply fully with Intermarine's HSE Policies and Procedures

 

Your profile:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or 5-7 years of experience in a marine-related field
  • Fluency in English and another language (Spanish) highly preferred
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret various documents related to cargo operations
  • Open to travel domestically and internationally as required
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job, including lifting up to 50lbs and occasional climbing or crawling
  • Availability to work after hours, weekends, and holidays as needed
