Founded in Bremen in 1989, the Harren Group focuses on the entire value chain around the vessel. The Group spans five operational divisions – Chartering, Engineering, Logistics, Ship Management and Renewable Energies. The fleet under management currently consists of 65 units all key vessel types. The family-owned company operates 26 offices in 24 countries around the world, employing around 556 people ashore and more than 2,000 crew members on board its ships.


For our office in Hamburg we are looking for a Senior Contracts Manager (m/f/d).

As Senior Contracts Manager at Harren Group, you will play a key role in our legal department, supporting complex international transport and logistics projects. You will independently manage contract processes, work closely with internal stakeholders and sub-contractors, and help ensure our projects run smoothly and in compliance with legal standards.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and execute contracts, including BIMCO and FIDIC agreements
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of all contract-related documents and communication
  • Manage contracts for heavy lift and project logistics operations
  • Align contract terms with project goals and timelines in close collaboration with project managers
  • Develop and manage sub-contractor agreements
  • Monitor sub-contractor performance and ensure contract compliance

 

Your profile:

  • Degree in maritime law or a related field; Master of Laws (LL.M.) preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in contract management, ideally in project logistics
  • Proven knowledge of BIMCO contracts; familiarity with FIDIC is a plus
  • Strong understanding of legal contract language and requirements
  • Confident negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
  • Structured and independent working style – even under pressure
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Proficiency in contract management software
  • Team player with attention to detail and a hands-on mindset
